Engine overview
The Kia 1.6-liter Turbo GDI is a turbocharged inline four-cylinder gasoline engine used in selected performance-oriented and newer Kia applications.
Turbocharged direct injection
This engine combines gasoline direct injection with a turbocharger. Correct oil quality, oil level, cooling-system condition and maintenance intervals are especially important.
Applications
Selected Kia Soul, Forte, K5, Seltos and other applications have used a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine. Output and hardware vary by generation.
